Friday Introduction - Mr Windsor

Friday Introduction - Mr Windsor
Senior School Geography

Time for our #FridayIntroduction and today we’ve been talking to Mr Windsor.

Mr Windsor has has worked at Ryde School for a whopping 15 years!
Head of Sixth Form, Mr Windsor overseas all of our year 12 and year 13 students. If that’s not enough to keep him busy, Mr Windsor also teaches Geography and coaches our Gold @dofeuk students.

Prior to Ryde School, Mr Windsor studied Geology at University of Liverpool before working overseas for eight years in the Middle East and North Africa. Upon his return, Mr Windsor worked at Ryde High School before joining us in 2006.
When asked what he likes most about Ryde School, Mr Windsor said: “Working with people, of all ages, backgrounds, attitudes, opinions - but especially the Sixth Form. Helping people make decisions about the direction their lives should be going and managing the difficulties that come from moving from a child to a young adult is brilliant - if exhausting”.

Above is a photo of Mr Windsor discussing career opportunities post Ryde School with some of our Lower Sixth Form students, they are aspiring to be a Biologist, a Performer and a Nurse.

Mr Windsors favourite place on the Isle of Wight is Luccombe Bay - peregrine falcons, wave cut platforms, landslides and driftwood, all you need!
