Hampshire Schools Athletics Championships

Our competitors returned from an excellent day at the Hampshire Schools Athletics Championships with an array of medals. Luke (L6) ran a very strong 800m to take gold and set a new school record in the process, whilst Charlie (U6) took gold in the 110m hurdles, silver in the long jump and silver in the high jump, also setting not only a new school record but a new Island record as well. This fantastic achievement sees Charlie qualify for the English Schools Championships. Campbell (Yr 9) took bronze in the 1500m, Ariela (L6) took bronze in the hammer and Ellie (Yr 10), who was competing in her first 200m after a return from illness, narrowly missed out on a place in the final.
